What we are doing

We are a group of Christians, some of us doctors, nurses, students, teachers, designers, engineers, etc., with a heart to bring medical aid to the remote villages of Nepal in the northern Langtang region.

What we do is basic. We bring medicine and vitamins and general medical aid to people that have little to no access to doctors. Some of you may know why we go, but for those of you that don’t, in very basic language, we go to take medical aid, supplies (everything ranging from band-aids, aspirin and IV’s to toothbrushes), as well as “chocolate” or candy, simple toys, photos, hair accessories, nail polish, etc., you get the idea, to the northern most villages that don’t have basic medical care. Our adopted village is Nessing, or “The Nessing” as Pastor Shem calls it. The people there have very limited access to basic medical supplies and care. So we each take a duffel bag full of medical supplies to Nessing and the surrounding villages. We set up camp and clinic and the people come for ailments ranging from intestinal worms, bronchitis, broken bones, holes in their heads, headaches, neck aches, body pain (Duxa), to full on cracked skulls. Some of the people aren’t sick at all and just want drops for their eyes, and others are so weak they can’t leave their homes and we have to set up an IV in their tiny critter and bug infested rock houses. It’s tough to be sick in an area where the nearest hospital is a harsh 7 hour hike down a mountain and then another 7 hour bus ride to Kathmandu. To be basic about it, that’s why we travel for 3 days by plane and 1 day by truck and then finally hike. But I guess that sounds ridiculous, doing all that just to bring aspirin to some unknown Nepali (Tamang tribal) people.

We usually head out once a year around the end of May and partner with Dhakbari church in Kathmandu to trek to Nessing and the surrounding villages and do medical clinics.

Jesus said to love one another, and that’s why we go. Our hearts belong to him and he has knitted our hearts together so tightly with our Nepali family that we have become one.

Our missions are always in need of medical supplies, medicine, prayer and financial support. Just message us if you’d like to partner with us in some way.
